Artist statement
Sculpting work of Tslila Eitan Lampert is done spontaneously, as sculpting a dream; from the depths of her sub-consciousness to the material which devotes itself to her creation.
The world of her subconscious is influenced by countryside and bonds with ground where her roots are planted, from experience of the flying during piloting Cessna and to the difficult holocaust experience of her parents as she absorbed it as a child.
Tslila is graduate of a School of Art, member of Ceramic Artists Association of Israel and teacher of sculpting and ceramic. She regularly attends fascinating and enriching meetings and workshops with artists from around the world.
Tslila Eitan Lampert was born and raised in moshav Tsofit, as the youngest child of her parents, hard-working farmers, who had begun their lives from scratch and built an admirable farmstead and raised their children as if they have not been survivors of the holocaust horror.
Tslila has grown up as a child of nature, a daydreamer, a loner; but always occupied with a creation: drawing, writing, singing and dancing together with raising two wonderful sons...
Her roots are coming from the rural environment but as well from the pain, suffering, horrors and humiliation, experienced by her parents during the holocaust. The lost years of her parents, during which they went through unimaginable hell, were never mentioned by the word in their house, but they floated among the words, flowing through the invisible veins of her consciousness, and left a permanent mark on who is she today.
Tslila’s sculpturing work expresses a variety of feelings including humor which emerges sometimes, smiles and raises a smile...
